Jesus's arrival in Jerusalem on Palm Sunday causes a stir among the Jews. The Romans have to deal with a small rebellion and the High Priest wants to be rid of Jesus, since he is causing a disturbance and challenging his authority.

Caiaphas wants to keep order at the Passover festival, part of his profitable exploitation regime of Jerusalem's Temple. But when Jesus takes his disciples to the Temple and watches the market, he loses his temper, impressing his disciples.

Prefect Pilate worries why his mighty colleague, the governor of Syria, is about to visit him. The High Priest Caiaphas calls a council to determine how Jesus should be dealt with after he is overheard mocking the Temple, and his fate is sealed.

Jesus shares his Last Supper with his disciples, and teaches them their last and most important lesson. While Judas slips away to fetch the Temple guards, Jesus leads the disciples to the Garden of Gethsemane and prepares himself for what is to come.

Jesus is put on trial by the Temple Elders. When the trial is over and Jesus is sentenced to death, he is forced to drag his cross through the streets of Jerusalem. John, Mary and Mary Magdalene watch in horror as Jesus is nailed to the cross.

As Jesus is taken from the cross and buried, his disciples hide. Caiaphas, fearful that the body will be stolen, orders the tomb to be guarded. But when Mary Magdalene discovers it empty, a chain of events will change the lives of the disciples.
