Anjelah Johnson began her entertainment career as a 13-year-old child actress. She began her acting career with roles in the series "Mad TV" (1995-2009), "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (HBO, 2000-2011) and "Live at Gotham" (2005-2010). She also appeared in "Love, Inc." (UPN, 2005-06) and "Ugly Betty" (ABC, 2006-2010). In the beginning of her Hollywood career, Johnson acted in films like "The Box" (2008). In the early 2000s and the 2010s, she worked on the silver screen, taking roles in the Zachary Levi blockbuster comedy sequel "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" (2009) and the Forest Whitaker romantic comedy "Our Family Wedding" (2010). She also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Anjelah Johnson: That's How We Do It" (Comedy Central, 2009-2010) and "Why We Laugh: Funny Women" (Showtime, 2012-13). She also lent her voice to the Lee Pace comedy adaptation "Marmaduke" (2010). Johnson's more recent roles included "Enough Said" (2013) and the comedy "Moms' Night Out" (2014) with Sarah Drew . She held additional roles in television including a part on "About a Boy" (NBC, 2013-15). Johnson's distinctive voice can be heard on "The Book of Life" (2014) with Diego Luna . Most recently, Johnson appeared in "Mad TV 20th Anniversary Reunion " (CW, 2015-).
