Doru and Lonel crack a joke in a pub about robbing a bank, to impress the small-town community that has always shown them contempt; when a local mobster overhears their conversation, he starts pressuring them to go through with the heist.

The techs find themselves cornered and harassed into going along with the crime; while the police chief's use the long arm of the law to get back at them, Adi turns up the heat the old-fashioned way, threatening the safety of their families.

The team crumbles when Adi decides to shortchange Evelina, out of spite; just as she finds an even shadier way to redress the balance, a new player comes to town, a Bucharest detective, who might just be the real deal.

The investigator grounds Adi at the worst possible time, messing up his plans to take his daughter to Germany; Evelina throws her staff under the bus in order to help him; The Captain hides sensitive information to outsmart the investigator.

The money starts turning up in the weirdest of places and the question of keeping it versus turning it in proves divisive in Doru's household, with Elena and Maria disagreeing over morals; Doru and Ionel come up with a plan to return the money.

With Ionel in jail, the investigator is closing in on the perpetrators, until raids on the Captain's and Evelina's houses turn up nothing; Doru does right by Ionel, telling the investigator the whole story.
