S2, E12: Early in the morning, chief physician Professor Meindl is shot dead by a masked motorcyclist at an ATM. The case initially appears to be part of a series of ATM robberies that have been committed in and around Rosenheim in recent weeks. However, the investigators soon discover that the suspected perpetrator has already been arrested. Professor Meindl leaves behind a widow whose grief doesn't seem quite convincing to the cops... Inspector Hofer, who has to be hospitalized because of an injury, is not only an extremely difficult patient, but also comes across another lead: Meindl knew how to enjoy himself. Furthermore, he summarily dismissed the assistant physician, Doctor Breuer because he was involved in illegal business with a pharmaceutical company. There are plenty of possible motives for the murder, but who actually ambushed the victim at the ATM? Like so many times before, it's the money that leads the investigators to the culprit. Furthermore, Ulrich falls for Susanne, the branch manager of the Sparkasse bank!
