S2, F7: Heather forces Kingsley to confront his dreams of being a musician when she signs him up for an open mic night at the Student Union. Nervous at first, Kingsley embraces the challenge head on but is undermined by a peculiar performance tic he has whereby his neck juts back and forwards while hes singing, like a turkey. Oregon steps in to become the bands front man for the next gig. But her catchy, toe-tappy, Radio 2 pop sensibilities are totally at odds with Kingsleys he wants to write atonal mini rock epics that you cant dance to. When she is NFIed to attend a poetry seminar by the renowned poet John Frobisher, Vod is determined to gate-crash it which she then does and promptly befriends the great man himself. She and Frobisher end up on a life-enhancing, all-night bender they both find a genuine kindred spirit. Unfortunately, the next morning he dies. Did Vod inadvertently kill him? Josie is still disappearing every morning to her seminars, - but in fact she is playing the fruity all day and betting on the horses. How long can she keep the housemates from learning the truth? Oregon too has a dilemma to wrestle with as she tries to keep Dylan from finding out that she used to sleep with his father. But shes beginning to learn that you cant keep secrets like that forever.
