S2, E3: An antique statue of Pharaoh Ramses is stolen from the villa of private owner Oskar Mauchner. Korbinian believes that Mauchner himself is behind the theft and wanted to collect the insurance money. After all, Mauchner and his wife are as good as broke – although hardly anyone in Rosenheim knows this. Ulrich, on the other hand, suspects that Toni Waldner, the brother of Mauchner's maid, committed the burglary. In a way, both detectives are on the trail of the truth: Waldner is indeed the thief, but there are also surprising connections between him and the victim. However, this only becomes clear when Waldner is found dead.
