In the Taunus, supporters of WindPro wind energy and its opponents are irreconcilably opposed to each other. The tone of the "angry citizens" towards the wind turbine company is getting harsher, their interactions more aggressive. Then, a night watchman of the company is found dead. The investigator duo Kirchhoff and Bodenstein soon find themselves caught in the crossfire between the wind turbine company and its militant opponents. The forensic pathologist and Pia Kirchhoff's ex-husband discovers that the dead man's pacemaker stopped working.
