Wishful Dreams

S11, E2: Maja Maiwald collapses on a regular basis, and her husband Carsten is worried about her. Additionally, their desire to have children has remained unfulfilled since she had a miscarriage two years ago. Martin examines Maja and suspects an allergic reaction. When he routinely checks her blood levels, he becomes suspicious: it appears that the young woman is using a hormonal contraceptive. An allergy to the pill could be the explanation for her seizures. Why doesn't Maja tell her husband that she doesn't share his desire to have children? Martin's full empathy is called upon. But when Maja's condition suddenly worsens, an entirely new suspicion arises that could destroy Maja and Carsten's love.
