Chicago, the legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band with over 100 million albums sold worldwide, brings their iconic sound to moviegoers across North America in a spectacular 2½ hour cinematic event. Recorded last November at Ovation Hall at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, NJ, the band performed in front of a live audience of 10,000 fans over two electrifying nights. This event was elevated by the presence of special guests, including GRAMMY Nominee Robin Thicke, known for his soulful hits and dynamic stage presence; rock superstar Chris Daughtry, famed for his powerful voice and chart-topping songs; and virtuoso guitarist Steve Vai, renowned for his technical skill and innovative playing style. Voice Play, the a cappella quintet, brought their unique vocal harmonies while GRAMMY-winning songstress Judith Hill captivated with her emotive performances. Pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph added his distinctive sound, and GRAMMY winner, blues guitarist and vocalist Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, delivered his electrifying blues riffs. Each performance is brought to life with vibrant stage-wide video and animation created just for this concert  - delete word performance, creating an immersive and visually stunning experience for viewers. This once-in-a-lifetime event showcases Chicago’s greatest hits and celebrates the 55th anniversary of their groundbreaking Double-Platinum debut album, "Chicago Transit Authority." Fans will be treated to high-energy renditions of classic songs as well as intimate "unplugged" a cappella arrangements, offering a fresh and emotionally moving perspective on the band's timeless music. The film captures the essence of Chicago's live performances, blending their powerful stage presence with innovative visual elements that enhance the overall experience. Executive Producer Barry Summers, the award-winning producer and creator of the Decades Rock Live series, played a pivotal role in bringing this cinematic event to life. Summers worked closely with co-producer and Chicago founding member Lee Loughnane on song selections and the post-production audio mix. Loughnane, who also acted as the music director, ensured that the sound quality met the highest standards. Summers produced the event in 4K UHD and Dolby 5.1 & ATMOS sound, creating the highest quality immersive audiovisual experience. "Chicago & Friends in Concert" is a must-see event for music lovers, offering an unforgettable experience that celebrates the enduring legacy of one of rock's greatest bands.
