Daniel Bonjour

Daniel Bonjour

Daniel Bonjour was a South African actor who broke out in 2016 when he landed a starring role on the time-travel series "Frequency" (The CW, 2016-). Despite having been born and raised in South Africa, Bonjour was able to also claim both Swiss and British citizenship, seeing as his parents were citizens of both countries. It was that cosmopolitan upbringing that made it easy for Bonjour to dream big in wanting to become a film and TV actor. However, he knew almost immediately that if he ever wanted to make it as an actor, he'd have to fly halfway across the world and try his luck at Hollywood stardom. Shortly after arriving Bonjour started landing roles in low-budget horror films like "Dracula's Guest" (2008) and "Breast Beneath" (2011), appearing in nearly a dozen films between 2008 and 2011 alone. Bonjour first came to widespread attention in 2011 when he landed a starring role in the science-fiction web series "RCVR" (Machinima, 2011). The series, which lasted 7 episodes, had a small but loyal base of fans and put him in the sights of casting agents all over town. He appeared in several more genre films over the next few years but in 2015 Bonjour scored his biggest break to date when he was offered a recurring role on the hit zombie drama "The Walking Dead" (AMC, 2010-). Bonjour played Aiden Monroe on three episodes of the series, thus allowing him to show off his acting chops each weeks before the show's millions of hardcore fans. Then in 2016 Bonjour quickly followed up his success on "The Walking Dead" by landing the lead role on the science fiction series "Frequency." The show premiered in October of 2016 on The CW network, while quickly becoming one of the most critically acclaimed new shows of the fall.
