When the guys take fencing lessons from Barry Kripke (recurring guest star JOHN ROSS BOWIE), Sheldon finds himself in an awkward position when Kripke expresses interest in Amy. Also, Stuart struggles to bring in female customers into the Comic Book Store, so Penny, Amy and Bernadette come by to help him out.

When Caroline's effort to sell cupcakes to a trendy new coffee shop in the neighborhood fails after the owner says they aren't pretty enough, she persuades Max to take a cupcake-decorating class.

Stewart is worried that Dean Sr.'s anger problems will hurt his case, but Dean Sr. insists there's no problem at all. Dean says there's only one surefire way to find out what the people really think: they take it to the masses for some good old-fashioned focus group testing. Before long, the entire family gets caught up in the feedback of how they are perceived by others.
