Noriyuki Abe

Noriyuki Abe is the director and sound editor of such anime films and TV series as "Bleach" and "Yu Yu Hakusho." Abe first worked as a director on the anime version of the popular manga series "Norakuro," and spent the early '90s working as director and storyboard artist on such shows as "Yu Yu Hakusho," about a young boy who investigates demons and supernatural occurrences, and "Musashi, the Samurai Lord," which focused on a rivalry between two robots. In 2000 he directed the original version of the anime horror series "Ghost Stories," and also served as sound director on numerous episodes. In the early '90s Abe formed a creative partnership with the famed production company Studio Pierrot and worked on many of their most popular series, including "Flame of Recca," "Tokyo Mew Mew," and "Bleach." He has since directed the feature films "Bleach: Memories of Nobody" and "Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion," and worked on the crime series "Tantei gakuen Q."
