Paul Keeley

After studying his craft in New York City, actor Paul Keeley's varied career began with two roles in 1989: a guest part on the sitcom "The New Leave It To Beaver" and a more memorable appearance in the dramedy "Parenthood"as the 21-year-old version of Kevin Buckman, the eldest son of Steve Martin's character. Though he's often gone years without appearing on television or film, Buckman's stayed busy with television commercials. After studying at California's Antioch University and graduating in 2002, he also began working as a family and marriage therapist specializing in anxiety issues, a job he still practices alongside his acting career His film work has been limited since 1989 to a few bit parts, including a brief, much-quoted exchange with Mira Sorvino as a shoe salesman in the 1998 comedy "Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion." On television Keeley had several multi-episode guest parts in critically-acclaimed television programs, including the low-billed part of secret service agent Ellis Taylor in three episodes of the political drama "The West Wing" and a minor role as a doctor on the lurid "Desperate Housewives. More memorable was his two-episode turn on the popular drama "Mad Men" as Elliot Lawrence, a cosmetic executive who makes a pass at closeted protagonist Salvatore Romano.
