Tammy Townsend
A singer, dancer, and actress, Tammy Townsend is the former Miss Talented Teen California, and has had starring roles in several TV shows. A graduate of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, Townsend had a few small TV roles in the 1980s, including an appearance in a Mr. T educational video entitled "Be Somebody or Be Somebody's Fool!" and an episode of "Diff'rent Strokes." In the '90s she gained attention for recurring roles on the sitcom "Family Matters" and the soap "Days of Our Lives." She had a supporting role in the 1997 John Leguizamo comedy "The Pest" and co-starred in the made-for-TV film "Divas," playing a singer. In the 2000s her star continued to rise with roles on the single-season sitcom "Grown Ups" and a starring role on the dramatic comedy "Rock Me, Baby" from 2003 to 2004. Other important roles have come in the short-lived comedy "Sherri" and the critically praised family show "Lincoln Heights." In 2010 she had a starring role in the drama "Preacher's Kid." Townsend also performs in the cabaret troupe GoDiva and has been a singer in her band Soul Unit.
