The industrialist Rolf Rauchensteiner is told from his personal physician, Dr. Stack, that he will die in one year if he is unable to find a replacement liver.

Rauchensteiner's liver dilemma excites Liana and Dr. Stack, who are having an affair with each other. Jakob arrives with Kerstin at the property of his parents.

Rauchensteiner finds out from Kralicek that he could procure a liver for him. Liana Zeno shares that she suspects Dr. Stack is behind Rauchensteiner's liver problems.

After the big party Kerstin awakes in a taxi close to Linz, without cash or a mobile phone. It was a jealous action from Jana who has has renewed her incestuous relationship with Jakob.

Jakob finds out that Kerstin has tried to procure a liver for Rauchensteiner illegally, and that a man has been murdered for it.
