The Tankards kick off the summer with a garden party to celebrate Cyrene's graduation from high school, and the celebration stirs up jealousy among the other siblings; the family decides to take a trip to Baltimore to visit Jewel's sister, Junetta.

Britney gives her brother, Marcus, the cold shoulder during his birthday celebration; Marcus and his wife, Tish, make a surprise announcement which will change the family forever.

Some of the Tankard family begins the process of moving out; Junice returns to clear the air with her sisters; Ben and Jewel lobby Marcus and Tish to settle in Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Britney opens up to Cyrene about her deep-seated issues with Marcus.

When Britney confronts Marcus about her feelings, she gets to hear his side of the story; Marcus opens up to Ben about the pain he and his siblings felt as children when Ben was away; Benji and Shanira search for the ideal home.

Southern belle Phaedra Parks visits the Tankards and takes it upon herself to advise Cyrene on boys and relationships; faced with empty-nest syndrome, Jewel undertakes a redecorating project; Brooklyn teaches Diamond how to be business savvy.

Ben celebrates 25 years in the music industry, and his children pay a special tribute to him on his big night; Brooklyn contemplates getting a place of her own.
