S3, E3: On one of the hottest days of the summer, the inner city neighborhood of Jamestown is throwing a "streetball" tournament -- and the probability of violence is high. Staff Sergeant Frank Best knows the neighborhood well -- he grew up on those streets, and knows many of the bad guys by name, including an ex-con named Roland Jones, who promises to tell Frank if he hears of anything brewing. Meanwhile, when Dov and Chris stop at a nearby convenience store, Dov walks in on a robbery-in-progress. When the young man behind the counter pulls a weapon, Dov doesn't hesitate. He shoots, killing the young man, and sending Dov's world tumbling into chaos. In the ensuing investigation, Dov spirals into doubt -- Did he act too quickly? Did he use excessive force? When Jerry and Sam are unable to find the young boyʼs gun at the scene, Dov faces the possibility of being charged with murder. And when word of a cop shooting hits the volatile streets of Jamestown, 15 Division struggles to prevent a riot.
