S4, E12: Having been replaced at Raintree by the jockey she hired Kris feels lost but she and Junior have an idea. She’s going to ride Tamarac as Davis Farm’s new jockey. Kris clashes with Davis over the racing schedule but luckily Junior has finished his deal and is there to back her up. Dani and Matt decide not to try a relationship again. When she learns Matt is entering Flame against Tamarac, Dani wants to enter Tigress Eye too, but hoping for a unified front against Junior and Kris, Matt talks her out of it. Kris steps into an argument between Davis and Junior. Davis has setup another eco-project for Junior, which would take him away from Kris. Kris tells Junior to go for it and he does, leaving her alone with Davis. Davis tells Kris he plans to take Tamarac and her all the way to the Kentucky Derby. When Pablo and Jean learn about Matt’s plans they try to talk him out of it, saying that the horse needs resting time, but Matt is too angry with Kris to listen. Junior has bad news for Kris. The eco-project requires him to live in Alaska for a year but Kris wants him to do it so bad she offers to go with him. Davis tries to talk Junior out of taking Kris to Alaska but Junior won’t listen. Pablo discusses the move with Kris and how hard it will be to leave Wildfire. Flame flames out and Matt has to scratch him. Kris admits to Junior that she’s having second thoughts but despite that still wants to go with him to Alaska. Davis fires Kris off Tamarac leaving Junior furious. Kris asks Matt if she can ride Wildfire in Flame’s place. Jean and Pablo are shocked at first but when Wildfire has a strong practice race they all three get behind him and Kris. Dani is angry that Tigress Eye wasn’t chosen but Matt makes it clear that despite choosing Wildfire he supports Dani. At the pre-race party Davis is shocked to learn that Junior and Kris plan on getting married at Davis Farms. Kris asks Jean and Pablo to walk her down the aisle. Matt confronts Junior about taking Kris to Alaska but Junior points out that Kris will do what she wants to and Matt has to admit that he’s right. Dani and Matt bond over their love of racing and Matt kisses her. Davis confronts Kris. In order to keep Junior he has to be nice to her but he knows she’s just a opportunistic ex-con. Junior overhears that tirade and tells Davis he’s out of their lives for good. After the party Junior takes Kris back to Raintree and they get terrible news. Wildfire is missing and the chain on his stall has been cut. It looks like he’s been stolen.
