Allan Cuthbertson

Allan Cuthbertson was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Cuthbertson appeared in such films as the David Niven drama "Carrington V.C." (1955), "The Man Who Never Was" (1956) and the "The Passionate Stranger" (1957) film with Ralph Richardson. He also appeared in the Michael Redgrave crime adaptation "Law and Disorder" (1958), the dramatic adaptation "Room at the Top" (1959) with Laurence Harvey and the James Cagney action picture "Shake Hands With the Devil" (1959). He kept working in film throughout the sixties, starring in the adaptation sequel "The Mouse on the Moon" (1963) with Margaret Rutherford, "Tamahine" (1963) with Nancy Kwan and "Nine Hours to Rama" (1963) with Horst Buchholz. He also appeared in the Laurence Olivier dramatic adaptation "Term of Trial" (1963). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Captain Nemo and the Underwater City" (1970), the Sammy Davis Jr. crime mystery "One More Time" (1970) and the musical drama "Performance" (1970) with James Fox. He also appeared in the crime picture "Assault" (1971) with Suzy Kendall and the romance "Invitation to the Wedding" (1973) with Ralph Richardson. Cuthbertson last appeared in "Still Crazy Like a Fox" (CBS, 1986-87). Cuthbertson passed away in February 1988 at the age of 68.
