Kate Higgins

A professional singer and jazz pianist on the side, voice actress Kate Higgins is best known for her energetic and often sweet-voiced roles in such popular anime series as "Eureka Seven," "Code Geass," and the self-parodying "Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo." Higgins gradually won the affection of fans when, in her portrayal of Sakura Haruno on the hit action-adventure show "Naruto," she shed the stigma of being a perfunctory love interest and emerged as a complex, fully developed character representing some of the best the genre has to offer. The versatile Higgins showcased an impressive range when she voiced the seemingly cold and emotionless warrior Saber in the supernatural romantic thriller "Fate/Stay Night." She is probably most recognizable to her youngest fans as database operator Miki Kurosaki on "Digimon Data Squad." Outside of the anime world, Higgins provides voices for video games and such American-style animations as "All Grown Up" and "Wolverine and the X-Men." The actress made a rare live-action appearance in the 2007 crime drama "Chapter 27."
