Mather Zickel

Funny and sardonic, the New York born-and-bred actor Mather Zickel has appeared in a wide variety of film and television projects. His actor's resume contains work in from dark, heavy films about emotional issues and internal conflicts, such as the acclaimed 2008 movie "Rachel Getting Married," as well as lighter fare like Comedy Central's beloved cop-comedy "Reno 911" and alternative comedian-populated program "Delocated." Zickel was also featured in the TV series "The Cape," "Children's Hospital," and "Man Up." He studied acting at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, and spent time at The Shakespeare Lab at New York's Public Theater. Gifted with a quick wit and impeccable comic timing, Zickel has proved an apt associate for "Delocated" stars and alt-scene comics like Eugene Mirman, Todd Barry, and Jon Glaser. He was also featured in the TV series "Wainy Days," directed by "The State" cast member David Wain, and the much-loved 2009 comedy "I Love You, Man." In addition to his work on the big and small screen, Zickel has collaborated with a number of playwrights and stage directors including Sarah Ruhl, Gina Gionfriddo, and Adam Bock. He divides his time between New York and Los Angeles, and is happily addicted to coffee.
