Fate presents Frank and Sara with a chance to catch the culprit who killed their parents years ago. However, this is bound to put them in the crosshairs of the underworld of Copenhagen.

Frank must do whatever it takes to prove his worth and save his job at the law firm; Sara struggles with a gunshot injury and tries to get to the bottom of Waldman's activities.

To win Waldman's trust, Frank defends one of his fall guys; it gets complicated when the prosecutor is Patricia Staaf, a woman Frank had an affair with, and still has feelings for.

Brian reveals to Frank that he has evidence linking the current spate of drug dealing directly to Waldman. Patricia agrees to help Frank, and give Brian witness protection. In her eagerness to help Frank, Sara puts her son Liam in jeopardy.

Consumed with resentment after the attack on Patricia, Frank takes a catastrophic decision that drives a wedge between him and Sara.
