The Royal Life Guards has the hardest service in Denmark. 300 young men change into uniform and are put through hard military drills from day one.

It's just four months from the start of the recruits' national service until they're guarding Amalienborg with bearskin hats and loaded rifles.

The boys from room 143 are halfway through their Royal Life Guard training, and now they're going on their second field exercise.

Four months as recruits for the Royal Life Guards are over, and the proud, young men of room 143 can finally call themselves guards.
