Paul Rae

Hulking screen presence Paul Rae emerged as a dependable supporting actor with his buddy portrayals on such films as the sports drama "Coach Carter" and the featherweight comedy "Daddy Day Camp." A former defensive lineman for the LSU Tigers, Rae, a New Orleans native, began his career essaying a range of blue-collar types on series television. After small walk-on parts on shows such as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Star Trek: Enterprise," and "Las Vegas," Rae was cast in a recurring role as Hector "The Ice Cream Man" on the wildly popular comedy-drama "Desperate Housewives." He made his feature film debut on the Samuel L. Jackson starring "Coach Carter" (2005), and went on to costar, opposite Cuba Gooding Jr., on the critically panned family comedy "Daddy Day Camp" (2007). Despite the lackluster start to his film career, Rae continued to garner an impressive list of television credits in the 2000s, including two big-hearted performances on the acclaimed dramas "House" and "Californication."
