Ryan Potter

Ryan Potter

Ryan Potter was an actor who became famous in his teenage years for his lead roles on "Supah Ninja" (Nickelodeon 2011-13) and Disney's animated hit "Big Hero Six" (2014). Potter was born to a Japanese father and American mother in Portland, OR. However, he spent the majority of his early childhood in Tokyo, learning Japanese as his first language before moving back to the United States at age seven. There, he began to study kung fu, and it was this hobby that landed him his big break. Having heard about Nickelodeon casting a martial arts-themed TV show, Potter auditioned and landed the lead role of Mike Fukanaga, a Japanese-American teen who learns that he is the descendent of a line of heroic ninjas. Training in a secret dojo under his bed, Fukanaga fought crime under the guidance of his grandfather's spirit. This role made Potter a teen celebrity, and he participated in many Nickelodeon events, making guest appearances on other teen shows, and supporting charitable causes. In 2011, he founded the organization "Toy Box Of Hope," a charity drive for needy children in the Los Angeles area. In 2014, Potter voiced the lead of Hiro Hamada in Disney's animated children's hit "Big Hero 6."
