Danny Kallis

Writer-producer Danny Kallis's ticket to long-term Hollywood success was the Tony Danza-Alyssa Milano TV series "Who's the Boss? ." After working his way up from producer, to supervising producer, to executive producer over the course of three seasons from 1988 to 1991, he was off to the races. In the middle of his "Who's the Boss?" stint, Kallis launched his own production company, which he later used as the umbrella for the WB sitcom "Smart Guy." His creation ran from 1997 to 1999 on the WB. More recently, Kallis has tied into one of the leading children's cable TV franchises on The Disney Channel, executive producing "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" from 2005 through 2008 and then moving on to "The Suite Life on Deck." His work on the former prime time show has earned him a pair of Emmy Award nominations. Kallis has written for all of the programs he has worked on as a producer and got his start as a writer in the early 1980's via a pair of episodes scripted for "Taxi."
