The same year, he appeared on the Nickelodeon teen sitcom "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide," and then in 2005, the young actor made his feature film debut in the zany Rob Schneider comedy "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo." He also joined the cast of "Everybody Hates Chris" in 2005; Martella would stay with sitcom, created and narrated by iconic comic Chris Rock, for the entirety of its four season duration. While playing the title character's best (and only) friend on "Everybody Hates Chris," the young actor found time to continue appearing in feature films, branch out into voice work, and even release a pop album, the 2006 effort "Time Flies By." In 2008, Martella had a supporting part in "Role Models," a buddy film helmed by comedy director David Wain that starred Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott. He also became Phineas Flynn in the late 2000s. In addition to the hit musical comedy series "Phineas and Ferb," Martella also supplied his voice to the animated 2010 superhero feature "Batman: Under the Red Hood," portraying the Dark Knight's sidekick, Robin.
