Lucas and Brooke's relationship becomes more intimate when they travel to New York for an overnight stay with Haley. Nathan and Deb conspire to leave Dan, leading to an explosive conclusion when he discovers their plan. Peyton is elated when she gets the band JIMMY EAT WORLD to perform at TRIC in time for Jake's (recurring guest star BRYAN GREENBERG) release from jail. Meanwhile, Andy (recurring guest star KIERAN HUTCHINSON) invites Karen to spend the summer with him in New Zealand.
