In 1587, English settlers land on the island of Roanoke. There they find an old, abandoned fort and a message warning of sinister forces. Nevertheless, they settle on the island. After a while, a pregnant woman has terrible nightmares in which sinister creatures abduct her child. Not long afterwards, these creatures actually appear. One of the settlers confronts them.
