Denis Quilley

Denis Quilley was widely known for his acting on the big screen. Quilley began his acting career appearing mainly in films, such as "Anne of the Thousand Days" (1969), "Murder on the Orient Express" (1974) and the Michael Caine spy picture "The Black Windmill" (1974). He had an early role on the television special "Long Day's Journey Into Night" (ABC, 1972-73). He also appeared in the TV movie "In This House of Brede" (CBS, 1974-75). He also was featured in the miniseries "Masada" (1980-81). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties, appearing in the Peter Ustinov mystery "Evil Under the Sun" (1982), "Privates on Parade" (1983) and the drama "King David" (1985) with Richard Gere. He also appeared in the comedy "Foreign Body" (1986) with Victor Banerjee and the dramatic adventure "Memed My Hawk" (1987) with Peter Ustinov. He also landed a role in the miniseries "A.D." (1984-85). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "A Dangerous Man: Lawrence After Arabia" (PBS, 1991-92). Quilley more recently acted in "Sparrow" (1993).
