After receiving a cryptic message, Green Lantern Hal Jordan and new recruit John Stewart head to Rushville, Nebraska, where a tragic shooting at a football game has just claimed multiple lives. Convinced this was an extraterrestrial event, Hal must prove his case and prevent further devastation… without alienating every local.

After sending John on a middling errand that ultimately proves quite eventful, Hal faces additional opposition to his presence in Rushville, which only inspires him to dig deeper. Then, Hal and John are given 48 hours to locate a highly important individual – or face dire consequences.
