In the season finale, the inhabitants of Storybrooke brace themselves for the end when Greg and Tamara detonate the trigger Regina had placed within the curse.

The residents of Storybrooke face a challenging decision after the seven dwarves discover what happens when anyone tries to cross the town border. Regina goes to extreme lengths to regain her magical powers while flashbacks reveal how she first acquired them. Charming tries to find a way to get Snow White and Emma back from the Enchanted Forest and also assumes the status of town leader.

Belle threatens to leave Mr Gold if he continues with his thirst for power, and Rumpelstiltskin attempts to save his wife from a band of pirates.

Mr Gold finds an unwilling test subject to see if a spell he has concocted will allow him to cross the border of Storybrooke - without losing his memory - and go in search of his son, Bae.

Ruby's fear about turning into a wolf during the first curse-free Storybrooke full moon is confirmed when one of the town's residents is viciously murdered, and Ruby is the prime suspect.

Henry pleads with Emma to stay in Storybrooke and continue her quest as the saviour of the fairytale dwellers.
