Trying to find a way to channel his emotions, Conrad puts all his efforts into looking for answers; Raptor has a run-in with the police that ends up taking a surprising turn; Leela begins noticing problems with a surgeon who has been Bell's mentor.

An old army buddy and fellow surgeon visits Conrad at the hospital. Meanwhile, the team is put to the test when they have to save the life of an uninsured and undocumented patient.

Conrad receives the call he's been waiting for when a heart becomes available for a patient who has been on the transplant list for two years. After a file goes missing, Nic grows suspicious of one of the doctors.

The doctors face new rules and doctors, as Red Rock Mountain Medical takes over the hospital.
