Bud Tingwell

Charles "Bud" Tingwell was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. "Bud" Tingwell started his acting career landing roles in such films as the adventure "Kangaroo" (1952) with Maureen O'Hara, "The Desert Rats" (1953) with Richard Burton and "King of the Coral Sea" (1956). He also appeared in the Peter Finch dramatic adaptation "The Shiralee" (1957), the Christopher Lee horror film "Dracula - Prince of Darkness" (1965) and the Jack Thompson drama "Petersen" (1974). He continued to act in productions like "The Journalist" (1979), "Breaker Morant" (1980) and the romance "Freedom!" (1981) with Jon Blake. He also appeared in "Puberty Blues" (1981) with Nell Schofield. In the latter part of his career, he continued to act in "The Craic" (1999), the comedy "The Castle" (1999) with Michael Caton and "The Wog Boy" (2000) featuring Nick Giannopoulos. He also appeared in the Sam Neill dramedy "The Dish" (2001) and "Innocence" (2001). "Bud" Tingwell last acted in the Ewen Leslie dramatic comedy "Three Blind Mice" (2008). "Bud" Tingwell passed away in May 2009 at the age of 86.
