Elena Nicolai made her mark in the world of entertainment when she acted in "The Boom" (1963). In 1932, she made her operatic debut as Maddalena in Verdi's "Rigoletto" at Milan's Teatro alla Scala." In 1938, she starred in the career-making role of Annina in "Der Rosenkavalier" at the Naples Opera.
