Misa Shimizu

Misa Shimizu was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on, Shimizu landed roles in comedic films like "Traffic Jam" (1991) with Kenichi Hagiwana, "Shino Funjatta" (1992) with Masahiro Motoki and Misa Shimizu and "Shall We Dance?" (1997) starring Kôji Yakusho. She continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties and the early 2000s, appearing in "The Eel" (1998), the Akira Emoto dramatic adaptation "Dr. Akagi" (1999) and "Warm Water Under a Red Bridge" (2002). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "The Sea is Watching" (2003), the dramatic adaptation "Piecing me back together" (2010) with Wakana Chisaki and the dramatic adaptation "Rain Fall" (2010) with Gary Oldman. Most recently, Shimizu acted in the Bennet Guillory drama "The Harimaya Bridge" (2010).
