2016. Working with Alfredo to reopen the investigation, Lía seeks out Elmer, the forensic expert who originally worked on her sister Ana's case. While her nephew Mateo gets involved behind his parents' backs, Marcela reveals that Ana was waiting for someone on the night of her death. New leads point to a forbidden romance and a truth the family never wanted to face.

2016. Lía and Elmer confirm that Ana died following a back-alley abortion. Marcela confirms that, on that night, Ana was waiting for a secret lover. As the investigation moves forward and new suspicions emerge, the past resurfaces: and an old photo reveals a disturbing new lead.

During the parish youth camp, Ana goes through days of apparent enthusiasm that conceal a deep loneliness; away from her usual surroundings, she finds refuge in drawing and in the silent observation of those around her; in that context, she forms a particular bond with one of the young seminarians leading the group, a charismatic and ambiguous figure who inspires admiration among the other youths and awakens in her a mix of fascination, confusion and a need for affection.
