In this episode: Odin, the father of the gods, has learnt that the end of the world is inevitable. The twilight of the gods, “Ragnarök" begins as soon as one of the gods of Asgard dies. Odin is determined to prevent this at all costs.

After years of war between the gods, a truce is sealed through the exchange of hostages. Freyja, the Wanen goddess of love, goes to Asgard; the Wanen demand Hönir and Mimir. But peace is soon overshadowed by dark events: a mysterious master builder offers to repair Odin's protective wall...

Odin is still preoccupied by Mimir’s prophecy: how can Loki's children be the gods' undoing? To keep Loki away from Asgard, Odin sends him off travelling with Thor. Then on his throne, the father of the gods has a vision….

From the Yggdrasil tree, on which the nine worlds rest, to the terrible fate of Ragnarök, this series journeys into the world of the Norse gods with tales of deep significance and epic power. In this episode: Odin tries to delay the impending doom of Asgard and, with the Valkyries, raises a gruesome army of the dead in Valhalla. Meanwhile, the poet god Kvasir roams the nine worlds to teach his knowledge.

Discord reigns in Asgard: the gods distrust Loki and Odin decides to go on a journey with him. On the way, the gods unwittingly kill the son of the magician Hreidmar, who demands a huge amount of gold in return….
