This new version of the culinary talent show gives fifteen former contestants from several editions a second chance. Although they did not win, the judges were keen to see more from them: actors Anabel Alonso, Bibiana Fernández, Paz Vega and Juanjo Ballesta; actor and comedian Edu Soto; Cuban model Juan Betancourt; director and actor Santiago Segura; comedian and presenter Florentino Fernández; singer David Bustamante; fashion designer María Escoté; singer and presenter Ruth Lorenzo; content creator and influencer Marina Rivers; businessman José María Martínez-Bordiú (Pocholo); and rapper Mala Rodríguez. Each veteran contestant will find a great selection of hearts beneath a red Mystery Box: tuna, beef, rabbit, artichoke, lettuce, strawberry and aloe vera will be among the surprising ingredients at the heart of this challenge. Their mission will be to create a free-choice dish featuring at least three of these hearts – a recipe that represents them and in which they put all their heart and creativity. The judges will also be joined by actress Loles León, who came third in the first edition of MasterChef Celebrity. The first Outdoor Challenge will take place in Málaga, named European Capital of Gastronomic Culture 2026. On this occasion, the kitchens will be set up in the stunning gardens of the former Royal Tobacco Factory of Málaga, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, home to leading cultural and technological venues such as the Russian Museum Collection, the new MEET Málaga Exhibition Space, the Automobile and Fashion Museum and the National Digital Content Hub. This celebration of Málaga’s culture, gastronomy and identity will also welcome one of the city’s most internationally renowned ambassadors, actor Antonio Banderas. The teams will cook the same menu created by chefs Cristina Cánovas and Diego Aguilar (one Michelin star) for 100 diners invited by the actor. The challenge is made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Regional Ministry of Tourism, Justice, Deregulation and Local Administration of the Andalusian Regional Government. In addition, Málaga City Council recognizes audiovisual productions filmed in the city that meet sustainability criteria, including responsible waste management, energy efficiency, food waste reduction and the use of locally sourced produce. The talent show receives this award for being a sustainable production. Finally, the contestants will have the chance to release some of their accumulated stress with axe throwing, with both advantages and disadvantages up for grabs on the target. One-Michelin-star chef Begoña Rodrigo, named the world’s ‘Best Vegetable Chef’ and Best Lady Chef of the World in 2024, will surprise them with her famous liquid salad. The contestants must create their own version using at least three varieties of lettuce and vegetables. Singers Jesús and Daniel Oviedo, better known as musical duo Los Gemeliers, will witness this first Elimination Test.

For the first time in the MasterChef kitchen, the judges will take part in a six-handed cook-off, with all three judges cooking different elements of the same dish at the same time, while the contestants carefully observe every move. The legends must then recreate the judges’ ramen recipe. During the test, they will be allowed to use their notes, but they cannot share any information with their fellow contestants. The judges will also welcome musical trio Los Chunguitos, made up of Juan, José, and Jere. Two of them, Juan and José Salazar, previously competed in these kitchens in ‘MasterChef Celebrity 4’. ‘MasterChef Celebrity Legends’ and Manos Unidas join forces to fight inequality and injustice, as more than 800 million people around the world suffer from hunger, primarily as a result of war. For more than 65 years, the organization has worked with the most vulnerable communities, supported by volunteers, members, and partners who help drive projects that provide access to dignified living conditions. The judges will organize a major charity challenge at the impressive Archbishop’s Palace in Alcalá de Henares, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For the first time, the two teams will work in a single kitchen, sharing cooking stations, utensils, and space as they prepare a four-course menu for 80 volunteers. The best contestant in the challenge will not only be safe from elimination, but will also donate €4,000 to an NGO of their choice. Pepe Rodríguez, an ambassador for the organization, will welcome fashion designer Lorenzo Caprile, recipient of the Manos Unidas Commitment Award. In the Elimination Test, the studio floor will become the board of the iconic 1990s video game Minesweeper, with the contestants split into two groups. They must make their way across the board by carefully choosing which squares to uncover, discovering ingredients while avoiding bombs that will make their cooking more difficult. Using the ingredients they collect, they must create a dish showcasing the flambéing technique, which involves covering food with a high-proof spirit and setting it alight to burn off the alcohol, intensifying flavors, and caramelizing the ingredients. Two-Michelin-star chef Mario Sandoval and the winner of ‘MasterChef 12’, Ángela Gimeno, will visit the kitchen and share some of their culinary tips with the contestants.

Clay cooking offers numerous benefits, helping to retain nutrients, enhance textures and flavors, and ensure gentle, even cooking. They will also be joined by Mario Vaquerizo, third-place finisher in ‘MasterChef Celebrity 3’. The contestants discover the centuries-old El Encín agricultural estate in Madrid, home to the Madrid Institute for Rural, Agricultural and Food Research and Development (IMIDRA), which houses Spain’s most important collection of grape varieties. Here, the teams will prepare a menu by chef Enrique Valentí, paying tribute to primary-sector workers and serving 80 diners, including farmers and livestock breeders from the Community of Madrid, as well as IMIDRA scientists and staff. The judges have a mischievous surprise in store for the contestants: Torito, fourth-place finisher in ‘MasterChef Celebrity 10’, will challenge them to a game of ‘La Silla Loca’ (‘Crazy Chair’). Taking turns, they will sit on the rotating chair and complete 360-degree spins. Will they manage to regain their balance and keep cooking? For the Elimination Test, the judges will be joined by seven former contestants from different editions of the culinary talent show: Loreto Riera, winner of ‘MasterChef Junior 10’; Carlos Maldonado, winner of ‘MasterChef 3’; Marta Verona, winner of ‘MasterChef 6’; Eneko Fernández, winner of ‘MasterChef 11’; Miri Pérez-Cabrero, finalist in ‘MasterChef 5’; María Morales, third-place finisher in ‘MasterChef 9’; and Elena Gorordo, a contestant in the thirteenth edition. The guests will not arrive empty-handed: they will bring desserts that the contestants wearing the black aprons must recreate to perfection, as they will be judged by some very special diners: Clara Rodríguez, Manuel Ángel López, Felipe Álamo, Pablo Candel and Jesús Pérez, reporters from ‘100% Únicos’. As unique and candid interviewers with autism spectrum disorder, they have a knack for putting all kinds of celebrities on the spot.
