Sergeant Ali McCormick was set to clear Dr. Sarah MacInnis in a series of suspicious deaths at Green Abbey Hospice, when a new death occurs. The investigating officer, Detective Mastrowski, suspects Sarah hastened the death of a 43-year-old prostate cancer patient named Mitchell Huston. Father Geddes, the priest who runs the hospice, also suspects Sarah of foul play, and puts pressure on Deputy Chief Malcolm to reopen the investigation into other hospice deaths.
