Jake Matthews

Actor Jake Matthews cut his teeth on various web series and shorts before landing the recurring role of tech genius Tariq in crime drama "Wisdom of the Crowd" (CBS, 2017-). Born in Northborough, MA, Matthews made his screen debut in short film "Oh Vey" (2011) and went onto land minor roles in crime dramas "Legends" (TNT, 2014-15), "Scorpion" (CBS, 2014-) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (CBS, 2009-) and appear in the 2014 CBS Diversity Sketch Comedy Showcase. Following a three-episode stint as Kamran in police procedural "Bosch" (Amazon Video, 2014-), Matthews took leading roles in a number of short films including groom-to-be Masu in "Vetting" (2015), sperm donor Matt in "Spunkle" (2016) and Jason in "The News Today" (2017), an LGBT film inspired by the Orlando nightclub shootings. Matthews also wrote the latter and received a co-producer credit on "Arranged" (2016), a short about two twentysomething Indian-Americans coerced into marriage. He achieved his big break when he was cast in the regular role of hacker Tariq in "Wisdom of the Crowd" (CBS, 2017), the US adaptation of the Israeli drama about a tech innovator who develops an app to help solve the murder of his daughter.
