Eve is on a revenge mission against The Twelve. She has a lead and needs to track her down via one of her assassins. Villanelle wants to change; so endears herself to a church community. Carolyn is focused on getting back in the game.

Eve locates Helene who may be useful in her revenge mission against The Twelve. Villanelle's quest for change goes awry. Carolyn is pushed aside by MI6 so is forced to seek cooperation elsewhere - she needs to find out who ordered Kenny's hit.

Having stalked Helene, a new lead allows Eve to uncover a name in The Twelve's top tier. Villanelle is rejected by Eve when she seeks help. Operating abroad, Carolyn discovers more promising intel on a spate of torturous murders linked to The Twelve.

Eve struggles to identify her lead in The Twelve. Villanelle gets her mojo back - she decides to be good by embracing what she's good at - killing! Carolyn discovers an old acquaintance in Cuba and decides to go rogue.

Focused on progressing her mission alone and adamant that she won't rely on Helene to glean any further intel, Eve uses the photo of 'Lars' and his friend Oliver to locate Oliver and find out what she can about 'Lars' as well as anything of The Twelve's origin. Eve learns that 'Lars' used to be called Johan - but he apparently drowned in the 1970s. Oliver allows Eve to borrow some old film footage, some of which includes an appearance from Johan. Eve uncovers more than she bargained for about The Twelve's past and just as she goes to follow up on her latest discoveries, Helene gets in touch, wanting to meet. Villanelle is re-galvanized. In Cuba she has a taste of killing altruistically and whilst her flair has returned to her, she reasons it's best to kill those who have oppressed her, otherwise what is she getting out of it? She travels to Konstantin for Helene's location however he is unable to provide it. Instead, he gives her the location of one torturous assassin likely to be a useful stepping stone for Villanelle: Gunn. Serendipitously, Gunn is closer than Villanelle thinks - ordered by Helene to attack Villanelle in front of Eve's eyes. Carolyn is forced to delve into a painful past as she travels to Berlin in order to track down a familiar face. Having gone rogue and operating entirely alone, Carolyn eventually discovers the whereabouts of her target: Johan.

Having survived Gunn's attack, Villanelle is cared for by Eve. Faced with the prospect of having lost Villanelle for good, Eve takes the opportunity to try and reconnect with Villanelle. The weight of Eve's rejection still fresh in Villanelle's mind, she refuses to make amends and instead gets some promising intel of her own, leaving Eve. Eve herself discovers that Carolyn is in Berlin - as Carolyn has been on the same Twelve-track as Eve. Eve decides to travel there to see if she might be able to locate Lars and finally accomplish her revenge mission. Villanelle is crushed by further news of Eve's betrayal - having learned that she collaborated with Helene - and so uses the address Konstantin gave her to go to someone who will understand her; someone just like her: Gunn. She confronts Gunn and there's an instant frisson! Carolyn reveals to Lars why she has chased him - she isn't the one orchestrating the attacks on The Twelve, her deep-rooted reason for her perseverance is to discover who ordered the hit on Kenny. She assures Lars that she can give him the name of who is ordering these heinous attacks if he tells her the name she's after. He agrees. Carolyn confirms Helene is behind the kills, attempting to carry out some kind of coup and so Lars forces Carolyn to go and meet with her to work out Helene's endgame. Carolyn learns that Lars cannot give her the answers she needs and so looks elsewhere for them.
