JR Bourne

Born and raised in Toronto, J.R. Bourne's acting career started quietly, as he first appeared in the Roddy Piper film "Jungleground" (1995) when he was 25 years old, but it was what happened after that that helped pave the way for Bourne's long-lasting career. Breaking into film wasn't as consistent, so Bourne frequently appeared on various TV shows in the rest of the '90s, most notably a memorable multiple episode appearance as Martouf on "Stargate SG-1" (Showtime/Syfy 1997-2007). Consistency bred more opportunity, and by the time the new century rolled around, Bourne was able to work his way into more films, including a larger role in the horror film "Thirteen Ghosts" (2001) as well as appearances in thriller "Antitrust" (2001) and comedy "Josie and the Pussycats" (2001), and the horror drama "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" (2005). After that, he mostly showed up here and there on TV shows, ranging from work as a CIA agent on "Fringe" (Fox 2008-2013) to a few episodes on the acclaimed drama "Unreal" (Lifetime 2015-). Bourne's biggest and most consistent role of his career began on television in 2011 with the teen drama "Teen Wolf" (MTV 2011-), where he played werewolf hunter Chris Argent. After years of recurring status, he became a regular in the sixth season. He also appeared in the modern soap "Revenge" (ABC 2011-15) for a number of episodes. In 2017, Bourne joined a main cast featuring Paula Patton and Devon Sawa in the drama "Somewhere Between" (ABC 2017-).
