Alison Leggatt

Alison Leggatt was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Leggatt started off her career in film with roles in the comedy "Touch and Go" (1955) with Jack Hawkins and the dramatic adaptation "Never Take Sweets From a Stranger" (1960) with Gwen Watford. Leggatt began to focus on film after appearing in the dramatic adaptation "The Day of the Triffids" (1963) with Howard Keel, the dramatic comedy "Nothing But the Best" (1964) with Alan Bates and "One Way Pendulum" (1964) with Eric Sykes. She also appeared in "Far From the Madding Crowd" (1967) and the Peter O'Toole dramatic adaptation "Goodbye, Mr. Chips" (1969). Later in her career, Leggatt acted in "The Seven Per-Cent Solution" (1976). Leggatt passed away in July 1990 at the age of 86.
