As an irascible federal judge (guest star Stephen Root) hears a controversial coal company case, an FBI investigation complicates Raylan’s (Timothy Olyphant) efforts to replace the money Winona (Natalie Zea) took from an evidence locker. And as Raylan and Winona struggle to put the money back before its disappearance is discovered, a coal company executive hires Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) for her security team.

J.D. (Zach Braff) remembers the medical fact that almost one of three patients dies in the hospital when he forms a bond with a sweet elderly patient (guest star Kathryn Joosten, NBC's "The West Wing") whose kidneys are failing. On a school camping trip, Miley and Lilly strike back at Amber and Ashley with a fake bear attack. However, their retaliation ultimately serves to backfire when the bush they'd hidden in turned out to be poison oak and Miley can't contain her itching during a televised interview with a popular VJ. Robby and Jackson attempt to catch a mouse on the loose and come to appreciate its musical talents instead.
