Robert Markowitz (born, in Irvington, New Jersey) is an American film director and television director. He has directed a number of television films that include [[Das Phantom von Budapest [de]|The Phantom of the Opera (1983 TV movie)]] (1983), Too Young to Die? (1990), Decoration Day (1990), Because Mommy Works (1994), The Tuskegee Airmen (1995), The Great Gatsby (2000), The Pilot's Wife (2003), Word of Honor (2003), Avenger (2006) and other films.He also directed episodes of Delvecchio, Serpico, and the anthology series Amazing Stories.His last directing credit was the TNT television film Avenger (2006) starring Sam Elliott and Timothy Hutton.
