Susan Kelechi Watson

After graduating from the School of Fine Arts at Howard University, Susan Kelechi Watson began working on screen and quickly found success. After a few supporting guest roles, on "Hack" (CBS, 2002-04), "The Jury" (Fox, 2004) and "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010), Watson landed a recurring role on the final season of "Third Watch" (NBC, 1999-2005). Once she got her foot in the door, Watson kept working almost continually, with recurring roles on "Kidnapped" (NBC, 2006-07) and "NCIS" (CBS, 2003-). Her recurring role on "Louie" (FX, 2010-15) gained her the most exposure up to that time. On the show, created by and starring Louis C.K., Watson played C.K.'s ex-wife and mother of their two Caucasian children, a casting choice that was never explained other than the belief that Watson was the right actor for the role. Further recurring roles on "The Following" (Fox, 2013-2015) and "The Blacklist" (NBC, 2013-) led up to Watson's first series regular role, as part of the ensemble for comedy/drama "This Is Us" (NBC, 2016-).
