Valerie Niehaus

A prolific German television actress, Valerie Niehaus had her breakthrough role on the soap opera "Verbotene Liebe" in 1995. After appearing on the series for more than two years, Niehaus eventually had a guest stint on another soap, "Klinik unter Palmen," and starred in the 2000 feature thriller "Flashback - Mörderische Ferien." With her television career in full swing, she regularly appeared in German TV movies, including the suspenseful "Die Frau, die Freundin und der Vergewaltiger" and the romantic "Das Glück ist eine Insel," while also making occasional guest spots on shows such as the crime series "Balko" and "SOKO 5113." Following the lead role on the short-lived 2006 show "Alles über Anna," Niehaus was featured in the big TV production "Die Gustloff ," a historical drama about the sinking of a passenger ship in the waning days of World War II, and "Cloud Chasers," a made-for-TV action film about an airline flight into extreme weather that was later re-released as "Super Storm." Returning to soap operas, Niehaus appeared on a number of episodes of "Der Landarzt," and later went for a change of pace in a guest stint on the medical comedy "Doctor's Diary - Männer sind die beste Medizin."
