Past experiences have jaded Zhou Xiao Qi (Ivy Shao). Tormented by dark secrets and her family’s misfortunes, she seeks medical help, bringing her into contact with Gu Hou Ze (Tony Yang), a psychiatrist who co-runs a clinic with his romantic partner Fan Yue Jiao (Chien Man Shu). Xiao Qi is drawn to Hou Ze, feeling her desires beginning to re-emerge – and stoking Yue Jiao’s jealousy. Meanwhile, office worker Pan Xin Tong (Vivian Sung) is on the verge of a breakdown after her mother falls ill, her boyfriend cheats on her, and she is unjustly demoted. At her lowest ebb, she meets Xin Yi Fu (Fandy Fan), a pampered young man who lives in his mother’s shadow. As the lives of these five people begin to intertwine, desire grows – but will romance save them, or lead to their ruin? This drama was based on the novel of the same name by Hou Wen Yong.
