Artist's Workshop

In this episode, we will focus on the artist Mahjoub Ben Bella. The artist has been working in the North of France for over 40 years. Known for his monumental installations of the 1980s and 1990s, this artist also likes to work on canvas. In his compositions, Mahjoub Ben Bella makes colors dance and transmits the energy of signs.

Lionel Estève has been living in the Molenbeek district of Brussels for nearly 20 years. It is here that he has set up his studio, an ideal space to practice his art, as well as to highlight the cheerfulness of the colors he uses and the softness of nature that he transmits in his work.

He is French, born in the suburbs of Paris to Beninese parents. But it is in Japan that King Houndekpinkou had a revelation and turned to an artistic career. He became a ceramist. The young artist evokes the earth within him with the magic of his hands and composes sculptural creations awakened by a vital spirit.

Nizhny Novgorod is the birthplace of Natalia Pankova. It is a closed city of the Soviet Union. The young Natalia knew very early that she wanted to become an artist, but not a Soviet artist, a free artist. In this episode, we will meet her in her studio.
